Default PLease do not leave your sunbrellas flapping as you drive in the rain

just a friendly reminder to fellow golf-cart users not to leave their sunbrellas flapping as they drive along

I know that a sudden shower can result in your wanting to drop the sides without getting out of the cart and poppering them shut, but on a narrow passing stretch like the causeway over Lake Sumter those flapping sides with metal bits at the end can be a real pain, literally

Mrs. Fox was hit by one today - luckily, for a change, it wasn't my fault...

thank you

As I side item, as I drive along, on several occasions I thought the golf cart in front of me was going to turn, only to find out there was a piece of cloth flapping across the tail lights giving the impression of a blinking turn signal.

I totally agree. It is not only dangerous for anyone you pass but it is very distracting for you as the driver.

Default Good luck

Ya can't get people to use their turn signals, what makes you think they are going to fix the flapping material on the golf carts? Just wondering...

That cart lane across the bridge needs to be about 4 feet wider - Sum(p)ter County has plenty of money to widen it, guess it just takes a major injury accident to get it done.

Also it is not good for the flapping material. It will tear and wear out.

Along the same lines it cuts down on your mileage as it make your cart less aerodynamic and the buttons slapping against the body of the cart do damage.

And it is a problem for cars passing carts in the diamond lanes. I've seen cars have to pull across the double yellow lines to avoid those flapping enclosures.
