I still am not over their political targeting. The IRS. It is supposed to be a lot of bean counters, not a political espionage unit.

what do you expect me to do about it? Getting all worked up never solved anything...it does(in some cases)bring on anxiety and other medical problems.

That would be the best thing that could ever happen in this country. Although it might cost retired people more depending on their tax bracket I am still all in if only we could make it happen.

I've read about this on and off over the years, and agree it is a great idea on the surface... however, as other have said, it will never happen. Can you imagine the unemployement of all the accountants, tax preparers and IRS agents? It would hurt the economy, big time.

Stumble, bumble, dribble and fail. Another example of government workers' incompetence. Same for the system: no responsibility, no accountability, no punishment, no terminations and probably promotions and bonuses to all for being able to hush it up for at least 6 months. And of course, excuses, finger pointing in all directions, and the blame game.

I sent small dollar amounts to lots of people as rewards and we wrote the software to audit for possible fraud. With the amounts of money the IRS sends out they should have a lot of audit rules in their software that should catch a lot of the fraud.
