I know I'm a silly girl, but I go to a doctor for medical questions and a lawyer for legal questions. Doesn't hurt to ask friends on TOTV, but please see the expert at the end of the day.

Question Do you ask

That was a really an old question. Have a really broad background in medical issues and asking for some input on something that is trivial and a normal practice. Trying to lecture someone on such a slight question is a sign of needing a life. It was not like asking if the pain was maybe cancer, or whether
heart condition. I don't even know why I am wasting my time addressing the question.

I am bothered by allergy's as well as sinus issues and yes I get headaches which, me myself and I attribute to those allergy's and sinus issues. Stranger yet is the fact that I will get a low grade headache when there is the threat of a rain storm. Again my own diagnosis but I'm guessing it has something to do with the barometric pressure. It may not be the right approach but I think if I went to a dr regarding an occasional headache certain doctors would have me set up for testing that possibly could be endless. 2 Ibprophin does the trick and I do believe I spelled that wrong but oh well.

After a lifetime of allergies I am able to fairly well self diagnose a sinus headache. However, my daughter who had suffered a lifetime of migraines a couple of years ago experienced headaches more frequently. Turned out she had a brain tumor! See a physician, particularly if it is a new development for you.

I've been known to get migraines from certain foods, not allergies really just a sensitivity -- dairy products, red wine, nuts and chocolate. I can eat a little but if I over-indulge, I pay the piper. Fortunately, this has gotten better as I've aged. On the downside, now I get more sinus headaches from pollen.

But if the headaches are a new thing for you or have changed in frequency or intensity or location, please tell your doctor.

I, too have headaches and sinus symptoms, none of which I had back home. Went to the Dr. and she agreed it was probably allergies. I haven't tried yet, but purchased An Antihistamine. Haven't taken it yet as my headaches and sinus symptoms seem to be ok now. Allergies can Make one feel miserable! Good luck with your symptoms and I hope you can get to the bottom of what makes your head ache.

Mr.Penn. Villager Joyce was giving you REALLY good advice. If you are having new headaches after living here as long as you have, you really should see a doctor.

But as Doctor Mom, practicing with no shingle for many years, I think you should be sneezing, having itchy eyes and runny nose too. I find that around here there is always some bloomin' thing and I am going to ask warranty to remove them all pretty soon, and take it to the homeowners organization. (JUST KIDDING!)

I suggest you do a Google search for allergy headache, and weed through all of the alternative medicine supplement stuff and find someone like WebMD or the Mayo Clinic. Here is one; http://www.mayoclinicproceedings.org...566-8/fulltext

You might try an over the counter allergy pill and nose spray sometimes helps my sinus when it is clogged.

Hope you feel better soon and if you don't please go to the doctor.

Smile Let Me Clarify

Within the last couple of years we have been to MD Anderson in Texas, a number of times to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, etc etc. My question on "Allergies" was a slight curious one since I have had allergies since being in Florida but the sinus headache was sort of a new symptom and I wondered how many also had the headache in addition to the itch of the eye, runny nose, etc. I appreciate the advise to see Doctors but let me assure the couple who gave me the advise I have many years of experience on the subject. Now hitch hiking on the subject I would add a bit of caution. The old saying of physician heal thyself has some truth to it. Spend more time on studying your Dr and the Med's prescribed than buying a car. The one source I find in the Villages which I have good faith with is the Urgent Care at Sumter Landing. They are usually pretty darn good. I don't understand why with only a 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive to Mayo Clinic more don't avail themselves to it. In a lot of cases it is
the policies and practices that make the difference between go care and minimum care. Oop's now I am giving advise..Sorry.
