Default Cauliflower Pizza vs. REAL Pizza

Cauliflower pizza is not pizza. It's a fake imposter shell masquerading as bread, covered with ridiculous things that shouldn't ever be combined with cauliflower. It is an insult to vegetables and to wheat and should be permanently stricken from existence.

Discuss.

You said on another thread you would start this one. You want to start a discussion on this topic. OK. I'll bite, the REAL pizza, that is. To me, the toppings can be almost any variety of things, it is the dough that make it a real pizza. A "pizza" made with any substitute base/crust is an imposter.

It sounds to me like you're pre-judging cauliflower crust without interacting with an individual cauliflower crust pizza. That's a no-no!

Are you inferring that wheat is superior to cauliflower? Also a no-no!

Have you considered that not all people have access to a pizza store serving cauliflower crust? Perhaps they live in a cauliflower crust food desert? We should subsidize pizza parlors in underserved cauliflower crust areas to make it equal.

You sound like part of the problem. Can't we all just enjoy pizza without always separating us by crust preference?

If you're silent on this topic, you're complicit!

We know what we like...and we like the traditional pizza that we grew up with....the pizza down here in TV is awful....so we make our own and we are happy with the outcome....okay so we cook...many of our fellow residents don't...not my problem...cooking is pretty easy

even on a bad day I can't imaging eating pizza with a cauliflower crust...give me a break...have a salad

we get the dough from Publix

There are some that Do not tolerate grains. You can choose what crust you want, some do not have that luxury. If done correctly cauliflower crust can be thin an crispy. Egg, parm cheese, Italian herbs, and cauliflower. TJs make a decent one, but when our oldest is home I make ir from scratch in about 5 minutes. Zucchini crust is not my favorite

You'd be better off making a lentil-flour naan flatbread open-face sandwich. No grains - just lentil flour, water, yogurt, and a pinch of baking powder. You can use soy yogurt and make it vegan AND grain-free. It won't ever be confused for pizza. It doesn't try to pretend it's pizza. It is proudly lentil-flour flatbread, and doesn't ever have to apologize for it.

Cauliflower pizza, however, is an affront to vegetables and grains worldwide. It is a crime against pizza, a terrorist attack on Italians, Brooklynites, and Bostonians.

Cauliflower pizza is the Riddler of Captain America's Superman.

I wouldn't mind making my own pizza but my oven doesn't go to 750°. That's how hot the ovens are at the woodfire pizzerias where I come from! Can you imagine that kind of heat in a Florida home? Fuggedaboudit.

If cauliflower was my only choice in a pizza crust I think I would just have to do without pizza.

Flipper's Spanish Springs is the closest to New Jersey pizza of any pizzeria in The Villages or surrounding counties.

We've ordered the veggie pie several times recently. It's been ready when advised, hot and delicious.

Ugh no not even almost sorta close. Giovanni's is tolerable. Flipper's is like - when Dominos tries to open a pizza joint in Wooster Square, New Haven.
