I took my wife out for a nice quiet dinner at a country club recently, just wanted to listen to some live music and have some cheap drinks at happy hour. We were sitting very close to the performer, but it just got so noisy with people talking (and screaming and shouting) that we couldn't even hear the music!

Maybe it's because we're all old and can't hear so well, but let's try to respect everyone's space, please.

We love The Villages. We do the things we enjoy and avoid the things we hate, like loud music and loud people.

The only quiet country club restaurant here was Hacienda Hills. Absolute quiet except for the one guy at the pool bar. It's a shame more people didn't take advantage of that.

Asking a room full of people to change their behavior to suit you is not reasonable.

I played Glenview two weeks ago on a Saturday and I could hear the entertainment, some fellow singing classics like Frank Sinatra just about anywhere on the Stirrup Cup nine, I mean hundreds and hundreds of yards away.

As far as Bonifay and Belle Glade, they have entertainment on the patio most Fridays when I normally play and when combined with the crowd noise as mentioned by the OP, you'll know coming up the 18th fairway everyone is enjoying themselves.

I found ear plugs are a good idea - previously the only time I used to wear them was at night. In TV it’s the other way.

Hmmm, indoors in a tight space with lots of vulnerable old people screaming and shouting while consuming cheap drinks.

Somebody should get a Covid test and reconsider where they go for entertainment. If being in that situation bothers you, just imagine how much it would suck being on a ventilator.

If you didn’t like where you were seated, request a different table or leave..Choose a restaurant without live music...This is quite elementary...no need for discussion...

I have noticed, at happy hour, some people have too much to drink and become very loud. Seems that way at all the restaurants in T.V.
