Sadly, all the local restaurants that will be participating in the Veterans Day special deals are for dine-in only, so I won't be able to enjoy that this year. Just yet another thing we've had to give up on. Oh well.

MOVE!!!! I've yet to see a law that states once you move here you have to stay. I'm from Maine and find the villages 100% quieter than my home town of less than 20K.

I have to say, that's what was one thing that also attracted me to the Villages. My husband and I came to check out the Villages about 9 years ago or so, we went to a restaurant to get dinner. We were at a booth with a high back. We heard a lot of loud laughing and cheering, etc. and thought it was a bunch of young people and to my surprise , it wasn't ! I thought "how terrific that was" ! They were all having a great time. But I don';t see a lot of rowdy behavior that often.

On our lifestyle visit, hubby and I went to the Lighthouse restaurant. We were about to start eating when the server brought a menu to the next table and when asked she repeated it in such a loud voice I almost fell out of my chair. Hubby said to me, the person she is talking to must be deaf. I don’t know if this was usual but I’ve been taking my earplugs with me just incase.

I do get what you are saying. Been out plenty of times and you will have a group or two acting worse then middle schoolers. One time there was this lady that was so loud there wasn’t a place in the whole restaurant that couldn’t hear her. Some people just not pay attention to how they are acting or how loud they are. And have you notice their the ones that stay there for hours....

I go out 4 or 5 times a week there are some restaurants that are very loud lighthouse , Cody’s , Red Sauce all fun places and more quiet ones Bonefish, Blue fin , Chops , the country clubs seem to mostly loud and fun , the OP was looking for cheap drinks and quiet I suggest the best place for them is home

The only quiet country club restaurant here was Hacienda Hills. Absolute quiet except for the one guy at the pool bar. It's a shame more people didn't take advantage of that.

The place was a dump, poorly managed and the food was terrible. Thank God it's gone.
