Default Covid covid covid

Reading the online paper today it was reported that there was a spike of 157 cases of Covid 19 in the Villages. Then I get my Leesburg Paper. The same reporter, reports that there is 125 new cases in the whole Tri County area. What happened to the other 37 cases? Wait it gets better. Then he reports that 94 of the cases are in Leesburg. As far as I know Leesburg is not part of the Villages.

I know I'm getting OLD but do these figures make sense to you??? Len

I have given up on all the news reports and following the 'numbers' game.
Try to keep ourselves clear of the bug by observing relevant precautions when out, apart from that just keep ourselves occupied.
I am in the early stages of trying to fathom out Sidoku.
Now there are numbers to confuse anyone!

The numbers aren't accurate anyway. I have several friends who have tested positive 2 or 3 times in the last 10 days. Each of their tests counts as a "new case". I ignore these numbers and only concern myself with the numbers of hospitalizations and deaths, which are WAY DOWN.

Coleman shows over 700 cases, the population of coleman is 800 people, there is no way 700 of them are positive. These figures do not include the Federal Prison in Coleman where their population along with the county facility in Bushnell have a total of 800 cases. Something is not correct in the published figures.

My Mom got the phone call she tested Positive..She didn’t have the test, but it’s nice to know the tests are done telepathically.

So who’s results did she get.

As covered this thread, that information is misleading and incorrect. The Villages continues to have among the lowest infection rates in the country. People here overall are doing a good job.

Spike in Villages COVID cases

Know of someone who waited in a car line to get tested, filled out the paperwork and handed it to the processor. Decided they could not wait the hour and had to leave (this was a few months ago) before the test could be done. They got their call they were positive.

Thats nothing new. Who cares if there is a 100 or 500 increase. Take care of yourself and you wont be part of the numbers

Covid deaths are still headline mat, erial, sad but the whole virus fear mongering has too many people afraid to live life. If you have health issues protect yourself and do what you believe is safe, let others alone.

Repetition doesn't make it right. Following public health safety measures for the good of all doesn't make people sheep or risk a government of wolves. Apparently you don't care that over 250,000 Americans have died of COVID-19.
