Default Hibiscus pool Christmas weekend - mole

A drowned mole was in the pool! Much to my surprise, upon being notified of the condition, the attendant indicated he is not aware of anyone who is able to remove it!
Further, when asked if there was a net available, he said he didn't know but you can look.

Really!?

I would have simply found a plastic cup and removed the mole, not worth getting upset over it as one of the rules states that you should not drink the water in the pool.

I would have just grabbed the critter by the tail and tossed it into the nearest trash bin. Why not, the thing has been disinfected floating in a chlorinated pool, and these days I always have a bottle of hand sanitizer with me. Easy peasy, done!

Yes, everyone knows that moles are attracted to loud music.

Probably was chasing another hamster in the wheel unmasked caught Covid from him..unable to cope with quarantine, and no vaccine available he Came to the pool, couldn’t take all the music playing and did himself in where there was no net to scoop out the remains...so he would float endlessly and freak everyone out...just saying for a friend...

There is a net at every pool surprised the rec center person did not know that.

I have had the experience of picking up a mole by the tail. It immediately turned around and attached to my finger and I had trouble getting him off

Should have brought it home and put it in a slow cooker with carrots, potato and onions.

The pool attendant was less than helpful and I can see where you would expect a helpful response. But such is life and on a scale of 1-10 he was a 2 and that's just because he answered you. Happy New Year!

The attendant (or resident) could have called community watch. They would have contacted the agency who operates the pool cleaning services. Their number is on the sign by the pool's phone.
