Default 34 Guns Off the Streets of Ocala

Last month, police officers in Ocala confiscated a total of 34 guns from criminal offenders. Each of these guns were involved in a criminal case, and five of them were reported stolen, according to Florida Police Scanner. The Ocala Police Department is containing their efforts in keeping the community safe.

Good for Ocala PD. Some people should not own guns, like the Villager that had an altercation with another Villager, chased him down on his motorcycle, pulled his gun out and aimed it at the chest of another Villager a year ago. That case is still open and the Sumter County judge could let him walk with minimal punishment and a plea of not guilty thus enabling him to KEEP his gun... the police are only one factor.

When u realize that countries like Australia, Britain, Canada, New Zealand, and so many others have strict gun control laws and almost no mass shootings, and FAR fewer shootings overall, it makes you wonder if gun crazy Americans just cant stop playing at being cowboys and tough guys. And the "guns dont kill people, people do",. is both true, and BS. Absent free access to guns, there would be no mass hostage, shooting, rampaging, etc and far fewer deaths can happen by knifing or whatever. And weapons meant to kill people shouldnt be traded like playing cards at shows. It is just an unnecessary part of living, and dying. (Ranching, farming, rural life, single shot rifles, etc aside).
Well, I guess some of what you say may be true. But please keep in mind that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. Add to that, if crazies cannot obtain a gun, they can still have mass murders by running a vehicle into a crowd, making home made bombs, etc., etc. Sorry, gun control in this country will work as well as alcohol prohibition, drug control, (Hell, we can't even keep drugs out of prisons!), etc., etc.

No oh gesture. I believe in the 4th amendment. But common sense says that we need to make a national database so if anybody wants to buy a weapon they can check there to see if he’s got a felony record assault record or was committed for a 72 hour hold at a psych ward as they have to sign a piece of paper that says they will not purchase our own a gun. how hard is that to do why is there so much fight over that

Because we are protected by the second amendment and the Bill of Rights from such intrusion.

You have more than enough laws on the books, start enforcing them and stop making plea deals.

That is because "Chicago" encompasses a huge geographic area and population. Some of which is quite safe. But as a city, in general, they are among the top in the country in the sheer number of shootings...

For example, North Chicago is relatively safe, but Central and South Chicago are quite dangerous...

You mean like the Federal Background check (Form 4473), also know as NICS?
