Default Took Marsh Bend Trail from 301 last night.

Coming home from Disney last night I had the Waze GPS on. I know the way but it warns me of traffic jams, slow traffic and alternate routes.
It usually has me exit the turnpike at 470 and come up Marsh Bend Trail. ( (I live in Marsh Bend.)

But last night, it sent me up to 301 which I thought was strange but decided to try it in case there might be some kind of problem on 470 or MBT.

Low and behold, when I was traveling south on 301 it told me to turn left onto Marsh Bend Trail. We have been waiting a long time for this to finally be completed. It will save us about six miles when going to Wildwood and beyond up 301. Even going to Rtes 44 and 466A are easier and shorter this way.

Just wanted to let all fo my neighbors that it is finally open.

I don't think it's officially open yet, this morning machinery was blocking the road and trucks could not get out and the turning lanes are not open on 301. Also if you come out of there to go south on 301 until the stop lights are working you're asking for a t-bone.

FWIW…. As of ~6pm today (Thursday), the “no entry, construction zone” sign is still in place on the south/east gates into that area.

Be careful when you arrive at the Village of DeLuna driving east and south. There is a gate that may be locked.

We can't wait until it's officially open.

I think you will find this video to be interesting. Based on testing, it was determined that it will be quicker to use 301 and Warm Springs Ave. and to not use Marsh Bend Trl.

That all depends on your starting point. Do the same test from Water Lilly Rec Center.
