Default FireStick stuck

My Amazon FireStick is stuck in reboot mode. Tried resetting but nothing worked. Anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks

When mine gets "stuck" (a few times each year) I unplug the power for a few seconds and it has always restarted correctly.

I'm not sure what reboot mode is. Could it be that it has lost the wifi information necessary to connect to your network? If you can still access menus on the firestick then checking the wifi settings and connectivity might help.

Try these things:

1. On the remote, press and hold the play button and the large center select button at the same time. This should power off the Firestick.
2. Unplug the Firestick from the TV, the usb, and the wall outlet. Replace the usb cable with a different cable.
3. If you are getting usb power from the TV connection, try plugging the usb cable into a wall outlet with a usb cube instead.
4. Unplug the modem/router and reboot.

Purchase a new one for less than $25 on Amazon Prime. We’ve gone through a couple over the years.

I was just trying to help a friend debug a FireStick that seems to drop the WiFi connection most of the time. He has other FireSticks and FireTVs in his house that work fine, but this one was a no-go. This is the fourth one he's had do this in 2 years. I've had two FireSticks in 2 years and one of them died fairly quickly. Either there is something about his Vizio TV that fries FireSticks or FireStick reliability is not what it should be. There are other options out there (Smart TVs, Roku sticks, AppleTV devices, etc.) that might be worth investigating. Look into whether or not they support all the streaming services that you like on your FireStick. Last I checked, Roku didn't have a DISH Network app and my buddy says that he watches Fox News through some app on his FireStick that was not available on Roku, so there are differences in app availability.

The Dish Network isn't an app. It's a satellite network. You can access most of the same channels that Dish lets you access, by downloading and subscribing to SlingTV with your Roku.

Here's some more info about it:

How Does Roku Work With Dish Network? - Internet Access Guide

No idea what to do with a bad FireStick other than buy a new one. But if you're using a "jailbroken" one, you are probably going to just keep running into the same problems eventually. Best thing to do is get one that you buy "legit" and pay to subscribe to a subscription service to watch anything that the FireStick doesn't already come with out of the box.

For instance - with Roku we have a whole lot of channels available, but most of them are channels that offer obscure movies, there's a 007 channel that runs James Bond stuff 24/7, stuff like that. But if we want to watch normal TV and normal Cable channels, we have to buy a subscription to something. We choose YouTubeTV, some prefer Sling, and so on.

I had the same issue. I unplugged it for a few days I think it was 3 days, when I did plug it back in I used the power cord and walwart that came with the firestick and plugged it in problem solved. USB power sometimes is not strong enough on some tv's, Good luck!

I have several Roku sticks, and I always plug them into a usb adapter that plugs into a wall outlet, because the TV usb outlets are never strong enough to provide sufficient power. With a Roku device, you can search the Internet and add any available streaming app that you can find. For awhile, they were blocking YouTubeTV, but not now.

I had a similar problem recently and after going through all the fixes that Amazon recommended - a few times, I was ready to give up and order a new one. Decided to try using the Firestick app on my phone in the meantime and tadaaaa, the Firestick started working again. I had never used the app before and forgot I even had it. Hope this does the trick for you.

Call Amazon and they can walk you through steps to try and get it going.

Default Avatar, The Way of Water on Max has sound but no picture

Anyone else having issues with Avatar, The Way of Water on Max has sound but no picture. How did you resolve? I rebooted my Amazon 4K Max fire stick but it didn't fix anything. Did a speed test and getting 80 mb download so more than enough bandwidth.

. I’ve found it helpful to have the Firestick remote app on my smart phone.
