Exclamation Dogs running along side of Golf Carts - Don't!

Dog owners - Please, please under no circumstances let your dog run next to your golf cart! My husband just witnessed someone who ran over her dog and yes, it died. We're both devastated. I knew someone this happened to about a year ago. It happens more often than you would think. If you are not strong enough to walk your dog, drive to a local dog park and sit on the bench or hire a dog walker.

I am shocked at how often I see someone having their dog run next to a golf cart and it is an accident waiting to happen.

I cannot say I have ever seen this? I assume you mean they do this on the golf cart path?

I've seen it on a street or one of the many open fields around the villages. I have not seen it on a golf cart path.

I've seen it many times on the path by Walnut Grove. Very scary to watch.

Seen it on the MMPs on streets several times. Animal endangering and abuse on display.

I hope it is illegal (especially on public roads) but who will ever be caught, and by whom?

Maybe the owners don't understand that most of the pleasure that dogs get from their outings is to be able to interact with other dogs and smells, NOT the exercise factor. The dog would find even a short walk much preferable to being forced to run alongside a golf-cart.

THANK you for posting this. I watched one guy on Paradise, driving his golf cart with a dog tied to the support of the cart's sunbrella. The leash was probably around 25' long and the dog was darting back and forth on the grass and on the road, crossing BEHIND the cart at times. Thanks to the yahoos here on ToTV who brag about being armed 24/7 and the attitudes toward telling people what they can and cannot do with their own pets, I didn't say anything at the time.

But I wanted to tell him that I'll be posting the video of him, and uploading it to every social media I subscribe to, so everyone could see what an utter POS he is.

So why are you posting on here and telling everyone that “you wanted to tell him that you’ll be posting a video of him”? You could have; he doesn’t have any idea who you are?

I've seen it several times near Mulberry Dog Park. It's scary to see them do this. You never know when a dog will dart in front of the cart.

I think you didn't read the whole post. Either that or you're unaware of any social media other than ToTV. Or you're cherry-picking.

Regardless of what you did - do please read what I posted, in context.

What does this comment have anything to do with the subject originally posted? Am I missing something in the original post or are people with arms offensive? I have two arms and I enjoy waving to people with them.
