OP, do your homework and make sure the new LED headlights are complete units, I have seen units that have external driver circuitry. The plug (or socket) will probably be different so you will need to confirm the wiring for the correct connections. Finally, double check the current requirements for the new headlights these should be lower than the existing headlights (incandescent or halogen) but you want to be sure. Also if you do not get an entire assembly the same as the existing headlamps, you will need to verify the physical size.
Feel free to send me a PM if you would like to discuss over the phone. I forgot to mention, motorcycle driving lights (LED) are sold in pairs, and one works very well on the golf carts, I found a nice set for under $20 on Amazon, easy to install, and I placed on a separate circuit and switch, and if pointed correctly these do not blind oncoming drivers and these are DOT approved.

Quote “Yes, in Florida, off-road lights must be covered when driving on public streets, meaning they should be turned off and covered with an opaque cover while on the road; essentially, they are not permitted to be used while driving on regular highways or roads unless they are DOT-approved and meet specific requirements.”
“ quote “ Most states, including Florida, consider off-road lights not DOT-approved and therefore illegal to use on public roads. Covering is required: If you have off-road lights, they must be covered with an opaque cover when driving on paved roads. “ Not worry hardly any law enforcement in most of villages. |

We all love those obnoxious LED center light bars many put on their carts. The ones that are improperly aimed up, blinding oncoming traffic.

Very inconsiderate people drive around lighting up roofs of homes. REALLY irritating to others on the road, people walking, and even shoots into living rooms. NO ! Stupid. If you are that blind at night . . . . . There is no reason to ever have your bright lights on within The Villages, a residential area. Illegal in most cities. I don't see anything in Florida law that restricts high beam use in residential areas.

dont know if you can get them if not do like so many are and mount them on the front. Make sure you set them to shine directly in the eyes of the oncoming carts.
This is a situation that needs regulated. |

Driving around with head lights on high beams is a traffic violation everywhere in United States. (Most news cars now have automatic high beams that will automatically switch to low beams within 100 foot or so to. on coming traffic) just not enforced very often especially around here with little enforcement. Also any off road lights attached to from of vehicle have to be covered up on highway/roads, can only be used off roading. Not worry hardly no enforcement around here.

It is just not enforced, off road lights have to be covered up on roadways. |

And none of that answers the question about the cities in which it is illegal to use high beams or where in Florida code it states high beam use in residential areas is not allowed.

Yes, using high beam lights in residential areas in Florida is generally considered illegal if you are within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle, as per Florida Statute 316.238, which states that high beams should not be used when approaching another vehicle within that distance; essentially meaning you should only use high beams on very dark, rural roads with minimal traffic.
