Default Winter Storm Watch

There is a winter storm watch here in virginia for tonight. Now do any of you folks living in tv miss that sort of thing? Be honest, maybe just a little?

Honestly...yes, I do! (I can't believe I just said that!)

Coming from Buffalo, we experienced many winter storm watches and warnings.

We would run out to the stores, stock up on snacks and comfort foods and hunker down to await the storm. We would light the fire in the hearth, put on our pj's and a good movie...and just wait!

Here in the Villages, the minute it starts to rain, we are out on our lanai, ready and waiting.

There is something to be said for living in the "lightning capitol of the world". We've seen some awesome storms here.

If I can't have my snow (and believe me, I really don't want it) I can have my storms. I am content.

I really hate black ice. Not festive at all.

I bet the couple of stores we have here will be sold out of bread and milk. They go nuts.

Nope. After spending 56 yrs " up north", I don't miss it at all. I like watching the national news when they show a video of big snowstorms. I just can't stop giggling every time I see one of those clips.

Isn't that the truth! My son has always said that here in Atlanta winter storm warnings are a conspiracy by the grocery stores to get rid of bread and milk that are approaching their expiration date!

Stay warm Posh.

37 degrees @ 7am today - brrr! forcasting snain [snow/rain] for the better part of tomorrow here on the coast of nj! this is waaaaayyyyyy to early for this kind of weather!

it's no wonder so many snowbirds flock back to the villages at this time of year!

I have been here for 8 yrs and I still miss waiting and watching the storm - but not being in it when it's over. I actually still go to the Hartford, CT channel 3 website for the weather and no school announcements when there is a storm. I also go to the Dept of Transportation webcams and watch it snow. Just a way of getting my "snow fix" I guess. I wouldn't trade being here for anything.

Used to love the snow coming down, but not the shoveling and driving afterwards.

I don't and will get more of it tomorrow. Thanks for the picture.

I looked up the weather forecast for tomorrow and where I live is a prediction of 3 to 5 inches.

Oh, to be in TV.

Yes, I do miss the snow, and the fall, and the changing of leaves.
Nothing better then coming in from skiing to a nice warm house with the wood stove cooking.
