There is such a lack of intelligent, entertaining, thought provoking and plots in today's movies it's shameful. Most of the movies now consist of AI effects, fighting, loud "music" if you can call it that, sex scenes and smut. I'm far from being prudish, but I sure miss those days of real movie stars with class and respect and plays and movies that entertain without all the unnecessary distractions because the story lines are strong enough you don't need them as a distraction for poor writing.

Oppenheimer , Green Book, CODA were quite good for the most part in those regards.

That’s why we watch movies at home for free. Well, not counting what we pay monthly for our streaming services, lol.

I have been reading some of the book by Gregory Maguire. Also called Wicked. I will not say anything more about it though as it contains spoilers.

I worked in Hollywood for 22 years and while you have the occasional jerk, there are many wonderful people, Dolly Parton being one of them. I am proud to have worked with these people.

They have helped a lot with my 224 613 Project to empower survivors/victims of crimes with access to the most practical information. Some of the people I have been trying to help would be sex workers. I tried to create an international dialog about these needs by writing prominent scholars around the world back around 1992 about what they would like to see in libraries of all kinds for survivors/victims. I did not start using 613 until the end of 1992. My number in a 17 week or so study on stress on the unemployed at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Campus. 224 is my birthday and the day that Michelle Mitchell was murdered near the U of Nevada, Reno campus. She was the daughter of my Earl Wooster High School remedial English teacher Mrs. Barbara Mitchell. The Mitchell family had given me and another boy a very small Memorial Scholarship in the name of Michelle.

Story tellers can work wonders.

One French actress has asked me in French if they could get involved around July of 2016. I replied yes in French .I have chatted with other Hollywood people or those claiming to be.

Not sure if I ever contacted Dolly Parton but she does seem like a wonderful human being.

Why all the ‘attacks’ on the Catholic Church ?? - Paris Olympics, Michigan Governor, and the Conclave … and why didn’t this pope excommunicate / ‘condemn’ the Catholic Biden, for his outspoken stand on abortion ??
