It's a perfect movie for TV, so far 80% of the audience for Sully has been over the age 35. I remember going to Tom Hanks film Captain Phillips at LSL about a week after release and it was packed. That film in the US took in $218 million. Captain Phillips had opened with $25.7 million, so they had expected Sully to open with $25 million, however Sully instead opened with $35 million. That speaks well for the film.

The Villages Florida

On IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) Sully has an 8.0 rating from 12,000 viewers. Usually I don't go to the theater to see a movie that doesn't rate at least a 7.0. So that score is a good indicator, Captain Phillips had a 7.9 rating from 325,000 viewers. Another film out now that is getting no publicity but everyday that sees it, had said it's the best film in years is "Hell or High Water". On IMDB that film has an 8.3 rating from 8,500 viewers, that's very high. It's suppose to be like a modern day western, I think since it's only playing at Spanish Springs that has hurt the film in TV.

Thumbs up Four Stars

Really enjoyed "Sully", and I give it four stars. I predict Tom Hanks will receive a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

Stay for the credits to see some of the real passengers, Sully and Sully's wife.

He did not look much like Tom Hanks. More like James Stewart. Two of my favorite all time actors.

Juat so nice to go to a movie like this. I feel like I know Sully a little bit. His poor wife and children, it must have been rough on them. Tom Hank's is just amazing. Five Stars.
