Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
I think she needs to lose the Lily Munster look though. She's not real eye candy to begin with but that look really doesn't work for her. Streaks in her hair would be fine but that white skunk look is awful IMO.

I think David A. has a good chance of winning, he has universal appeal to teeny boppers and mommies alike. evil6
Michael might just be eye candy, (and I heard he used to be a Chippendales dancer), but I sure enjoy his performances.

Agree about David Archuleta's chances for winning. Ironic thing with American Idol as the idea seemed to be to discover the US's hidden talent in the 16 to 28 age bracket. David Archuleta is good enough now that he probably never needed AI to get that big break.

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
I agree, Russ. She's not a bad looking girl, but her hair is really ugly and hard. Her face would be so cute if she didn't play the tough girl all the time. As it is, she looks hard as nails. If I just listen to her it's like listening to Joplin. Maybe the "tough girl act" is to match her voice. She is supposed to be a nurse. There might be someone tenderhearted under that hard shell exterior.

Amanda Overmyer reminds me often of the Bride of Frankenstein with her hair. Maybe, this is how she wants to appear? Many hard metal rock stars look like this or even quite a bit worse in appearance.

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
Think Kristy Lee Cook or David Hernandez will go tonight? I am leaning towards Mr. Hernandez seeing the end of the show song finale.

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
OMG I hope Kristy goes tonight! I can't stand looking at her bowlegs anymore. Why doesn't someone tell her about that! And I don't think she could have butchered that song anymore than she did. David was awful but I think he just had a bad night. I love Amanda! She probably won't win, but she's really my favorite. But, I also loved Janice Joplin. I think Amanda is what she is. I don't think she's trying to be tough, I think from the rural area she came from, with an entire family that rides Harley's, I really don't think she's putting on an act. Chacezeei, did a great job, but he doesn't grab me. Same for David Cook. I definitely think Kristy is going tonight. I think she's a one trick pony, I did like her originally singing Amazing Grace. But that's one of my favorite songs anyway. It should be interesting.

Tal, does this survey allow for a change of vote?

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
Oh nooooooooo, another week of Kristy. Please let her wear a shirt and not try to make another Lennon and McCartney song into a hoedown. : :

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
I think Kristy should have gone home tonight, I agree with Chels!
I was thinking David A would win the season, but now he is starting to get on my nerves.
He is like a gecko, cute, but could become annoying.
I am starting to like Jason. I know he doesn't have a chance of winning, he is weird and has no social skills, and the dreads don't help. But there is something rather sweet about him. Reminds me a bit of John Travolta.

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
The problem at this point is that next week is almost pointless. Kristy will go next week unless she is outstanding and i don't think that is possible. Just rehearsal for the rest.

Re: Favorite American Idol Contestant
Oh No! Kristy is still here!!! :yikes:
Missed the show last night ,had to pick up the captain at airport. A harrowing experience(but that's another thread).
I was sure Kristy would be gone. I wanted to block my ears while she sang.Let's face it, this week's performances were forgettable for all except Chakeeze (sp)who really took a chance and showed some musical style of his own.
Jason is hard to read. I think he has a unique voice and style but not for AI. He is cute but odd.
They all better step up or what I thought would be a stellar season is fading fast.
