Tom: How could I leave out Good Lovin? Yes, played that one a lot, even in a band I played in a couple of years ago. Lonely Too Long is one of my favorites but never did play it in public. Played a little Animals (We Gotta Get Outa This Place). For some reason never cared for House of RS but played it anyway by demand (That's one of the very first songs I played in a band.). Also like but didn't play Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. Suddenly remembered the Zombies (She's Not There). Somewhere I've got reel to reel tapes of us playing the Doors, etc. stuff. Now I've got to learn how to convert them to CD's. Anybody got a good program for that?
= Yorio: My interests are too wide to focus sometimes but I can always find something to fit my mood! I haven't seen 'the Commitments' (need to do that) but their version of Mustang Sally I do have and really like it (in fact, I'm going to play the CD right now). [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNrKD7ymOOU&feature=fvsrMost[/ame] of the country music I like is the later kind with a lot of harmony and actually reminds me more of the older R&R songs. Since I'm an organist, it's the ones with lots of Hammond organ (and piano) in them that appeal to me....naturally! No one group really appeals to me except Alabama (song 'Christmas in Dixie' is good and fitting for the season). X the ad. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDYfXlMR9QA&feature=fvwrel[/ame]. I download and make up my own country albums for that reason. I like Dwight Yokum's 'Fast As You'. Others: Living Fast Forward; Hank W-That's how They Do It in Dixie; Reba McIntire's Telephone song I call it since I'm not sure of the title. Boot Scootin Boogie. All My Exes Live in Texas. Like I said, big mixture. Thanks for your interest. And now on to pumpkin pie.

Yorio: If you enjoyed Al Bowlly, check out Charles Trenet, Carroll Gibbons, Hutch, Nat Gonella and Mistinguett. All from the 20's thru 40's. A great CD to choose is Art Deco Music Collection (3 CD's) [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Art-Deco-Music-Collection/dp/B002AUD46U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322249308&sr=8-1[/ame] chuck .

Add some brass, then strings and we could play all types. Unless we're consistantly playing, none of us are a good as we once were!

If the group get together you can call yourselves "The Village People." WAIT! That name was taken already.

Just had to bring this old post of mine back as we went to see a great show yesterday at Lecanto which is near Inverness. This group is playing all around near TV during February and March at Leesburg, Inverness, and Ocala. I would consider this high end Cruise Line theatre show and if you like 50s, 60s pop, country and rock n' roll, the 2 1/2 hour show will bring back memories. Check them out YouTube.com/user/24KgoldMUSICshow or search 24K Gold Music. For wannabes and gonna bees--there are lots of clubs here in TV. We joined the French Club and a volunteer arranged a bus and a 60 strong group were able to see the show plus having dinner at Stumpknocker's in Inverness. Many clubs will have volunteers arranging trips like this. So, come to TV. if anyone wants to know the show schedule, call toll free 1-866-884-0291. We enjoyed the show thoroughly.

Never heard of Rumer until recently but Burt Bacarack heard her voice and she can really sing some of his composition beautifully. She is apparently debuting in the U.S. If some one heard her, what think?
