In the "New Dallas" series Larry Hagman was obviously not well. "JR" was one of the most disliked characters of our time and our television rarely missed an episode. He played his character so well that he became the "Star" of the Dallas Series. His character was sort of like the guy villain in the old cowboy movies brought back in a more modern cowboy setting with a much bigger role. No doubt he made the series worth watching!

Don't forget, he also had Barbara Eden ( I dream of Jeannie) as a notch on his belt.
