That's a good, quick summary of the movie. I prefer to hear about the movie NOT the personal beliefs of the actors. Does the actor prefer cats to dogs? Does the actor drive an American or foreign car? I just DON'T care about that stuff. Can they act and is the movie plot good. That is important to me.

You're probably correct: he didn't change he was always a "whackjob" masquerading as a normal person ... early on, of course!

Actually De Niro looks like a normal person doing great things with his roles .

Zero Day does have Robert De Niro as the main character but it is pretty entertaining series.

The comment I left is about the series. Not about Robert De Niro's private hates. I do love him on Saturday Night Live . Another series.

How is that a "single character"?

I assume many of you are not going to watch his films because you don't like his politics. When are people not allowed to express their opinions? Who can? Sport figures, business people, people in any part of the entertainment industry - movies, tv, music. I suppose you allow people to express their opinions only if they are not made public or you agree with them..

He's a great actor. If you exclude all the actors who have expressed their opinions with which you disagree with you will miss out on some great performances. Your choice.
Nicely put.
