He put a wall up for her too, but they made him take it down!

Why. Think about it? Ya know, a lot of people don't think or care about making money n every transaction. Many people purchase what they want for quality of life. A lot of fortune 500 execs live in TV. Virtually every new home in TV carries a very high premium, I'd guess $20k to $40k, meaning for that much less you could buy a similar or bigger home outside TV; but you don't have TV benefits and amenities.
Sort of a duh! Then again, believe it or not, there are characters out there who try to justify country club memebersh by cost per rounds of golf.
For many pele, it's not about the almighty dollar but quality of life.

We were riding around the other night and spotted an unusually large home in Mission Hills and I looked up it's address and it sold for $616k.

It looked to be the only "regular" designer in there. Most of them are lovely bungalows.

I love seeing unusual properties. This one has furnishings that seem...a few years old? I could be wrong. Sure is fancy.
There are three designer homes in The Haciendas of Mission Hills. The largest with a pool did sell for in the $600'000's; the other two were over $400,000. The one that was the most expensive has a huge yard with views to the left and right which are open without walls blocking the water. No one in Mission Hills knew that there would be designer homes built among the villas. They are lovely homes.

Whatever the price, however nice the house, my first and foremost need is a fence for my dogs. Are there any million dollar CYVs? Not that I could afford that, but without a fence, even with a lottery win I still couldn't move in there. Crazy, huh? Enjoy my house GG, I'm giving it to you with my lottery win. I'll come visit. I know you like dogs.

Wow! That is something I have absolutely no desire for. The simpler the better at this point, money aside, I actually think it is a bit over the top! To each his own!

The home is decorated a bit stately for me but not hugely gaudy. A few changes would make this home more down to earth. I think the pool is very cool and unique. Never seen any pool with double stairs. I would live in it and be happy!!

I agree. That pool looks like it was made for an Esther Williams movie. Quite spectacular.

The old advice was to buy the ugliest house on the street because you won't have to look at it
