Between the wife and I, we've bought eight ebikes. I ride at least 120 miles a week. I would not buy this model.

As previously noted, this trike will be unstable when turning. Second, this bike has cadence only peddle assistance. This is unnatural feeling and frankly at 3k you should be getting more (torque sensing). Third it has fat tires. Forth, while it does have great lithium cells, it otherwise had cheap components for a $3k bike.

Others have noted, a recumbent trike is the best route. If the low seating is a flexibility issue look into HP Velotechnik, a German brand. The bike has add on handicap accessories available that make it easier to get in and out of. As far as visablity get Cygolite brand lights, they have a 350 lumen rear light with a sunshine beating eyecatcher display or a strobing 1200 lumen front strobing headlight best yet made in USA and no Chinese marketing lies on brightness.

At all costs avoid the Pedigo ebike store near Lowes on 466a. They have vastly overpriced products that are mediocre to acceptable (at best). For 3k you deserve quality.

Edit to add:. It's a urban legend that you need fat tires to support more weight. Not so, what you need is Quality. I have a Two wheeler where the tires will support 660 lbs. They are not fat tire

Because of the heaviness, I need to use a tad of electric to be able to pedal for exercise. Make sure that you have enough room in your garage because it takes up a lot of space.
All is valid. In a car you have something called a differential. If, you think of a turn, the outside wheel has a longer trip to make. The differential applies the power to the outside wheel. An electric bike, on a two wheel electric bike there is one power wheel. On a three wheel bike to work properly especially those capable of higher speeds, you need to have the power to the front wheel which makes handling difficult or have a differential controlling the rear wheels.

Point is simple. Be sure to ride before you buy.

Wow 125 miles a week. I do no where near that. If, I recall tires last roughly 3,000 miles that is 6 months.

Day 6 makes a great bike for older people, but only 2 wheel. Easy to ride and helps my back. American made too.

I do see a retail store in Clearwater (Wheels 'n Drones) that sells the Addmotor brand (Model M-340) of 3 wheelers. I'll be giving them a call.

Does anyone have, or know someone who has, a fat tire 3 wheel electric bike they're thrilled with?
We bought my wife a 7 speed Sun Trike two years ago. They are, however, hard to pedal up hills (tunnels and bridges). Last month we bought an electric powered front wheel from Villages Cycles and had them install it. It has both pedal "assist" and a power lever for straight e-power. We've now been able to easily go through tunnels and over the Water Lilly bridge - Sawgrass and Brownwood are in easy reach!
