Weather Station The Villages Amelia Kerwood Loop - KFLTHEVI353, was 28.2 F just before 7 AM! This weather station is very accurate and is very comprehensive!

The sun is out here, we can still see the green grass, get out of the house and get some fresh air and just dress accordingly. Have a GREAT day everyone.

I enjoy listening to the weather guy on the WVLG morning show (Jerry), as he reports both the low temp. and the high temp. for the nation. Often as not the low temp. is from my former stomping grounds Minnesota. A couple of weeks back the low was as I recall -44 fahrenheit at Celina, MN, about ten miles from where I grew up, which is pronounced Suh-LINE-a, only he pronounced it See-LEE-na. He had some fun with the low of -37 this morning in Embarrass, MN, more by the name than anything. He actually looked up the origin of the name; the name was given not for the emotion but because the Embarrass river flows through the town.

Interesting, though. After about 1.5 years here we're becoming a bit Floridized (Floridated?) but I couldn't help but chuckle yesterday when I went on the NOAA website, typed in 32162 and a HAZARDOUS WEATHER WARNING (in red, of course), popped up. Yep. A FREEZE warning. 30 degrees ABOVE zero. I remember times back home when it didn't get that warm for months at a time.

All relative, I guess. but swapping residence from Minnesota to Florida was a very good move. It actually felt COLD to me in the lanai this morning.

Well, I lived in Vernon for 26 years and I have no idea what DB and TP . The suburbs and Highland Lakes have drastically different climates and I worked in Maywood, so I could see the seasons change on my commute. Green in Maywood, leaves mostly off in Vernon. Same in winter...raining at work, snowing hard at home.
