Well, that kinda goes to my point, one can't use a broad brush when painting the atrocities allegedly committed by Snowbirds, some of us are equally invested in TV as the full-timer.

On the flip side, I believe the same broad brush shouldn't be used to color renting Snowbirds as the culprits either. Not all those renting are wo due respect for another's property, just as not all owners have due respect of another's property.

It's probably more like it is with any problem, 5% of the population causing 95% of the problems.

But, the question REALLY is during TWILIGHT hours should RESIDENTS that pay for the golf courses through local sales taxes, amenity fees, other taxes, and DEGRADED LAKES - REALLY be considered disgusting TRESPASSERS or legitimate residents with "skin in the game" for ALL areas of TV Land and therefore - they have RIGHTS too!

And the running coach from up north said that he HAD rights to use that golf course. Why did he lose those rights JUST by moving to TV Land? - is TV Land a land dominated by GOLF DICTATORS!

Do all communists feel this way????

Paid for by "degraded lakes"???? You have to be kidding!

How about the average golf course produces enough oxygen to support 4000-7000 people? Maybe the non-golfers should pay for the oxygen we let them breathe.

Allot of people like to get out at night, enjoy the openness, breath the fresh air. I don't know about you, but if I was walking a course at night I would feel much safer being able to see the full circumference of my surroundings, rather than being on a street where someone could be hiding behind a car.

I doubt anyone that backs up to a course would feel unsafe sitting on their lanai seeing two 65 or older ladies taking a stroll, carrying a lantern at night.
They are only utilizing the venue that they too pay for.
I would call Gov DeSantis maybe he could have lunch and sign a bill making it a minimum 5 years incarceration for walking on a golf course.

I agree with your attitude. Like a lot of things, it is best because it is MODERATE between the extremes of, "you are a DIRTY ROTTEN TRESPASSER" and you are allowed to walk right up to someone's backyard uninvited.

Default Take a deep breath

[QUOTE=Marcoguy;1960067]Tonight was the first time I saw someone walking their dog on the golf course. Well it was also in the sand traps, fairways and on the greens. The dog was everywhere. I know for a fact this is not permitted. However, people do whatever they want when the Golf Ambassadors are gone.
I’d like to walk the golf course myself, but I know it isn’t permitted. I guess it will continue until something gets broke or a green gets trashed by a dog.

There really isn’t anything you can do because I’ve tried. I called the villages community security about it but they just tell me it’s not their jurisdiction.
Oh well[/QUOTE

I think that you should lighten up. Don't sweat the small stuff. I doubt very much if a dog is going to tear up a golf course.
On the other hand if the dog is out there to do it's business and the owner doesn't bag it, is another story.

It may still be a "rule", but I doubt someone (as long as they are a Villager) could be charged with criminal trespass like they might on a championship course
I kind of doubt that even the Championship Courses are SOLEY supported by USER fees. Was NOT the land given to the USERS for the purpose of selling more RESIDENTIAL property in TV Land (which drives up selling prices)? And ALL RESIDENTS pay various taxes, (property, sales, and Federal) which together pay for the local and State Police that enforce the NO TRESPASSING rules. The residents have, "skin in the game" for even the Championship Courses. Don't kid yourself!

And who is going to monitor the behavior of those that are trespassing on the golf courses? They've already shown a willingness to disregard the rules in the first place, so why does anyone think they will then be respectful of property that doesn't belong to them?
You wouldn't believe what happens on a golf course after the ambassadors leave. It becomes a dog park, a dog potty, cyclists riding on the fairways and greens, grandkids with fishing poles headed to a pond, people joyriding in their golf carts sometimes through sand traps and on greens, etc. And don't tell me it doesn't happen, because I've watched every one of those scenarios take place from my lanai. The easiest way to prevent it is to not allow anyone on the course who isn't playing golf----Oh, yeah, that IS the rule.

That's a crock of BS, and I think even you realize it.

And YOU have the RIGHT attitude in MY opinion. You are doing ZERO harm to anyone and are just using a resource that you paid for by BECOMING a resident - you are in effect RECYCLING the fresh air and beauty of the Villages that you came here for and PAID EXTRA to enjoy it. Fair is FAIR!

Well there was that time I did walk right up to someone's backyard. I was on the course w friends who were golfing, I was just there to watch birds. We saw a B-E-A-U-tiful huge flowering bush in someone's yard. This thing was like nothing I'd ever seen before w red, pink and white flowers all over it. I was compelled to find out what it was. The homeowner happened to come out as we gawked. Ha! Some things are just meant to be! She said it was a Confederate Rose. I couldn't find one locally and ended up having one shipped in from GA. Pretty sure that's not the 'trespassing' that's being discussed here though.

Wow! Not very scientific of a statement by Eagles that Golf. Everyone knows that grass is JUST BETTER than turned-over soil. And NOT NEARLY as good as NATURAL trees and shrubs. And Trees protect RESIDENTS from tornadoes and hurricanes. Golf courses DO NOT!!!!!! Golf courses produce wind tunnels that magnify wind strength. And Golf courses require enormous maintenance and enormous noise pollution, gasoline vapors, and co2, which causes Global Warming, which is currently driving motley populations of invaders northward into BOTH the US and Europe. Fertilizer and Round-Up runoff is causing many lakes in Lake County to have blue-green algae over-populations - which creates a gas that is unhealthy to HUMANS. SO, SO, SO NO, NO, NO SIR Duffer-with-Eagles-Man - your kind are NOT the good Samaritans that you make yourselves out to be. The REALITY IS that your kind are at the top of the food chain for polluters and other anti-social behavior!

Maybe not trespassing, but some might say racist flowers.
