I'm interested to know... who got ticketed? It should have been her, but you never know these days. Some sheriff's officers have given out incorrect information in the past.

I'm too lazy tonight to research but my guess is dog poop is still the number one thread.
It's a tossup. People are anal about roundabouts and dog poop.
(See what I did there?)

Then that means if you wanted a SOLID white line in that spot then all the cars coming from the far right road (St. Charles) can only go right all the time.

This is the hard part though: what would you have done if the white car had come in from that spot, and was planning on going 2 exits away (one further than you)? He'd still be where he was, and you'd still be where you were, and he'd have the right to continue in that lane, and you'd still have the right to exit from your lane.

That's WHY these traffic circles are so harrowing. Because it really doesn't matter what lane you are "supposed" to be in. If I came in from the exit before yours, and I came in on the inner lane, and I'm taking my second exit...and you show up in the outer lane and you're taking YOUR second exit - we're both doing what we are allowed to do. Except - there's that risk that I'm going to try and take that exit I'm allowed to take, while you're still heading toward the exit you're allowed take - and there might just be a potential for a crash unless everyone is going at exactly the right speed, at exactly the right distance from each other, in exactly the right order.
If the white car was entering from the right (3 o’clock) you’re correct, he can go straight. However, he cannot enter while the dash cam car is coming. All cars in the roundabout (both lanes) have the right of way. Once no one is coming, he can enter the roundabout and go on across to the far exit (9 o’clock).

In my opinion, in order to minimize a crash within the roundabout it may be beneficial for the traffic engineers to draw on the pavement, on each lane at the moment a vehicle enters the roundabout and mark the path each lane can travel. Example - If a vehicle enters the roundabout from the right lane, the line will follow either a direct straight path or the ability to turn right.

Sort of like the markings on the green signs posted at the entry to each roundabout in the Villages?

Really frustrating to sit and wait for green when the old system worked perfectly well.

PS. Do you work for Mars? That's the only good thing to come out of Slough apart from the A4!
It's been a couple years since I've been to the facility in Slough, but no, it's not Mars. That building shut down as a production facility and is just a sales office now so I probably will have no reason to go back. Our main EU production facility is in Brebach Germany, near Saarbrucken. We have offices all over the world though and probably 6 in Germany alone.

I do love driving on the Autobahn. Had this Fiesta ST rental a couple years ago. This is a Fiesta body with a rally suspension and a real motor with around 210hp. It does indeed hit the limiter at 223kph.

I also have gone through probably 100 circles around SW Germany where we have a facility so I get there frequently. All of them are single lane. There are a couple near our England facility in Slough that typically have 4-6 cars in the roundabout continuously all day. It is quite busy. I don't see all these massive queues you folks keep talking about. Single lane.
Was driving in Barcelona, Spain a number of years ago, there were a few round abouts that had 4 lanes.

The one around the Arc de Triomphe in Paris has 7 lanes and 12 entrances. And traffic entering it have the right-of-way.

The amazing thiing is it works, and during rush hour, is basically controlled by pedestrians using the pedestrian crossings in the side streets

You are the idiot. He was in the roundabout before you so he had right of way. You further violated when you attempted to pass him in the roundabout. You get the roundabout Bozo Of The Week award. Just be glad you did not try that stuff in Chicago.
