I was not born in Germany but lived there and for years chaperoned a student group on trips there so I can help if you want.
I have loads of pictures etc of most of the cities.

A few years back the wife and I visited Herman and really enjoyed our time there. My wife is from the wine region of Germany so she was interested in the wineries in the town.

My father grew up in Morrison, Mo. and went to high school in Hermann. We still have relatives there (Weissenbachs and Schwenkes). The Gasconade valley is beautiful and great wine country. We have been to Octoberfest and Mayfest there several times.
