Default Hacienda hotel a nightmare

I'm on the bus to Orlando airport in the shuttle..a NJ resident, here for the first time, stayed here and said for an extra $30, you can get your sheets changed. They offer sit down breakfasts daily...... A FROZEN jimmy Dean sandwich and Danish.... Also frozen. You eat in your room. They charged his Amex before he. Necked in for the full week..how can it be??????? What a dump..
Experience, anyone?

Unfortunately, if you had asked on this forum where to stay I'll bet nobody would have recommended that hotel. The Holiday Inn Express sits right next door to it. A much better choice for sure. Sorry you had a tough time. If, in the future, you want to know anything about The Villages, there is also a search button at the top of the forum page. Just click on it and put in what you are searching for such as "pace to stay or Hotels" and the info will come up. Another hotel not to stay in is the one behind Chili's on 441. I believe it is a Comfort Suites. It's a real dump. I already checked it out. Please come back and visit again. The hotels here are much better than that!

We stayed at the Microtel on 441. They have suites which consist of a bedroom separated by a half wall. The half wall is the kitchen with a sink, Fridge, and microwave, plus cabinetry. On the other side of the wall is a living room with table and 2 chairs. Very nice for the price!

I always check out hotels on Trip Advisor - Reviews of Hotels, Flights and Vacation Rentals - TripAdvisor before I plan a trip. They have never let me down. Trip Advisor ranks Comfort Suites as #1, Microtel #2, and Holiday Inn Express #3.

Do they charge by the half hour?
Clean sheets might be a wise choice.

I don't judge hotels by their 'free breakfast'.

I remember in the old days we would get a customer complaint because they didn't like the way the chicken was prepared. never mind that the flight was flawless. it left on time and arrived on time with the luggage intact but all that mattered was the rubbery chicken! swore they would never fly us again.

As always, "you pay for what you get". TripAdvisor online always has good customer reviews.

I had a friend come in for a weekend needed to find a place for him to stay. I took a look around the Hacienda Hotel and immediately crossed it off my list. It doesn't take much to know that it's not going to be very good.
The first clue is that it's very difficult to find the front office. When you do find it you discover that it's a hotel room.
The place just looks dirty and not maintained.

Stayed there in 1996 when it was owned by the Villages. It wasn't bad then.

Correction; this place should read Hacienda Hotel.
