I understood the intent of your post, some prefer namecalling over reading comprehension . If not the dog, it may have been her.

Some of the less fortunate resort to drastic measures. Maybe the PO's should be doing a better job instead of taking kickbacks

Yes, this happened at 1:30 in the afternoon. Husband golfing. 2 men with clipboards. They forced the woman into the garage, not the dog. The dog kept barking so they killed it. Soooo sad. They are tramatized! This was a villa. Do not open your doors unless you are sure you know who it is!

This is true. The husband was golfing. The woman opened the door. Two men with clipboards. They forced her into the garage, not the dog. The little fog kept barking, so they killed it. So sad. They only took a gun that was in a drawer and left.....probably scared. The woman is tramatized. This was a villa. 1:30 in the afternoon. I hate all these workmen everywhere! Awful!
Maybe security cameras need to be at entrances and pictures taken! The gates are a joke as many you do not need a card and you can just push a button and get in anyway.

Many of us, no, most of us were less fortunate than we are today and some were poor, they just didn't know it because everyone was, and that was not and is never an excuse for stealing stuff.

Here is your sheriff up in Marion County. A good fellow, I am told;

I found the thread referred to and think it's better to just post a link than misquote.

You hate workmen ? What makes you think men who work commit violent crimes ?

Here is what the name we cannot type news is saying as of today at this time;

The death of a dog in the Harlow Villas in the Village of LaBelle is being investigated by the Sumter County Sheriffs Office.

The incident occurred Thursday afternoon and prompted a temporary security restriction of the villas.

A 64-year-old woman made a 911 call prompting the arrival of law enforcement.

The investigation is ongoing.

So as the facts to date indicate (as much a dearth of them that there are), the headline(s) should read....

Doggone, woman OK.

This information was also given to me through a friend whose a friend of the woman. So sad and terrible it happened. I hope they catch the guys!!!! There have been break-ins in T.V. in the past, all were done during the day. Not sure what the back-story of this is re: the perps. They could have been workers, they could have been passing through as well. But it can happen anytime, anywhere. We had it happen in our "quiet" little town, up north. Found out it was students, ditching school---they did it even with the homeowners there (but in another part of the house). As for the gates...they're there NOT for security but to help regulate traffic. The folks who "man" them are there to answer questions and give directions.
