I like them too. I knew nothing about their behavior but I think they are beautiful. In fact I am working on a painting of one right now for our new house in Hadley.

Great pictures DickY! The buffalo pictures we took (kindly posted by Susan on my behalf ... how does everyone but me know how to do that :dontknow: ) were taken on Parr Drive April 20. When we got anywhere close to the baby, the momma buffalo got pretty upset, snorting and pawing. I sure wouldn't want to get between a momma and a baby.

I've also wondered how they move the buffalo from field to field. Do they do it in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep? They must get danger pay if babies are involved.

Buffalo are such a part of TV life. I find it sad that "Buffalo Ridge" is now stores, and not buffalo fields any longer.

I met a couple at The Veranda having lunch the day we left TV (4/23) and they told us that they too had witnessed the miracle of Buffalo birth that very same morning and even though we hadn't seen the event it still felt special.

Saw the babes late yesterday. They are so cute. Mom was very protective until she saw (or maybe smelled ) the carrots I had brought.
I am curious how many buffalo's are actually in TV and how many babies where born this spring.
Anyone know the history of the buffalo here in TV?
