Who's in favor of banning phones at the pool and who's in favor of banning phones in the pool?

Is it poor etiquette, uncomfortable or obnoxious?

I keep running into people standing in place texting and taking selfies.

I don't understand your complaint. In what way does someone else using their phone impact your enjoyment of the pool?

Why limit it to pools, why not just ban phones? (sarcasm)

More lives would be saved if they would ban texting/talking on cell phones while driving cars.

I'm a libertarian so, no. I don't believe in just banning things willy nilly. How about a sign outlining etiquette? Many young people (family pools) never lived in a world without phones and may not realize they are bugging us boomers.

Might as well get use to it. Majority of anybody over age 7 and under 75 can’t stay off phone for 5 mins. It’s only going to get worse.

Cell phone are dinosaur’s and long gone. Cellar phone now are hand held computers with phone as accessory.

No, it is not okay with me to ban phones in cars. It is currently illegal in many states to use a hand-held device while driving. Florida is one of them.
