I always wear earplugs. Especially for the early warmup advertisements.

I saw Avatar at a theater and that was one movie that needed the immersive feeling of a big screen and surround sound. Many other movies are fine on a small TV screen. "The Expanse" had some BIG immersive scenes - yet it was made for TV. I feel that the writer and the director MAKE a movie or series.

That's a lot of missing out on MANY good movies, if true.

There are many magazines devoted to scandal and every aspect of Hollywood stars' personal lives. I see all the magazines at a checkout register and I just think, "what a waste of paper".
.........Some "stars" support good causes, like recently one actor was raising money for displaced children in and out of the Ukraine. That's a good thing. But, I am not going to care if an actor gets drunk and causes a problem.

Going out and being SEEN out reinforces the human NEED for social interplay. It probably goes way back to caveman times when group survivability was greater than individual survivability. Retired people no longer have workgroups so they need to create other groups. "Dressing up" to go out also adds to the overall idea of doing something important with ones's life (in retirement).

Strange dislike of socialists. Bear in mind that the US has integrated socialism and capitalism. The US Social Security System and even Obama Care are important examples of that blending. Some people prefer things to be perfectly black and white, but that does not really exist.
........Actually, by living in a planned retirement community, a member of that community is taking advantage of the socialism aspects of that community.

Probably waiting for Eastport and Wildwood non-restricted community. You would have a greater selection of movie goers

I would hardly call what most of the above listed actors did as "getting drunk and causing a problem"...
