Just out of curiosity, when you do that, how many angry honking horns are blown at you, how many "one finger salutes" and more seriously, how many pull out from behind and try to turn in front of you? And just to be obtuse, what if the person behind you is trying to get a sick or injured 3 year old to urgent care?????
I'm not suggesting you do anything unsafe (ie: something most prudent drivers would NOT do), but there are rules of the road that allow a right turn there, so when any one individual makes up their own rule it messes up the "harmony" of traffic flow.

As you know, traffic moves pretty fast on 44, especially when Billy-Bob is heading home after work. We are perfectly happy to wait until we get a green light.
"Billy-Bob"?

Nice that you have such distain for the folks outside the bubble...

You know, the one's who fix your sh!t...

None.

Since our car is pointed straight when we are stopped and we do not have a right turn signal on, no one knows we plan to turn right.

When the light turns green, we put on our right turn signal and turn right and head to Wildwood, oftentimes to visit our dear friend Billy-Bob.

That's fine. But do you realize the LAW REQUIRES you to put your turn signal on 100 feet BEFORE your turn?

My "feelings" have always guided me through life.

In the glorious 1960's, my Hippie friends and I lived by the motto, "If it feels good, do it".

I also follow the converse, "If it doesn't feel good, then don't do it."

Works for me.

Yeah, I recall that from when I took my drivers test in South Florida in 1961. I just don't always do it.

Works for me.
But does it work for everyone else on the road????
Like John Donne wrote, "No man is an Island"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is sounds like, at least at Morse and 44, that you approach the intersection to make a right with absolutely no intention of turning right on red even if the road is clear for whatever reason you might have. Furthermore, it sounds like you intentionally conceal the fact that you are going to make a right by not putting your directional on until the light turns green and you are starting your turn, in violation of the traffic statutes. So in summary, it sounds like you are making up and adhering to your own laws, not those passed by our representatives and agreed upon by the voters. Do you think there might be a problem if everyone did that????

OK, I'm going to make up my own speed limit on Pinellas Place at 90 mph. No problem according to you?

Or is it just you that can pick and choose which laws to follow? And is it based on "your feelings".

No offense, I'm just playing devil's advocate (as usual)
