When the main traffic light in my direction is red, my instincts tell me that the light for the cross traffic must be green, so I am not going to pull out into the intersection. I will wait until I get a green left turn arrow.
Then go to driving school and learn Fl laws. You dont belong on the road nor does Fl law say……..”do what you want”

It means proceed with caution!
What I did is honk then got the one finger salute. After the light turned red they turned and I had to wait for the next light.

So how long does one wait before it's not using patience? Do we wait and surrender the whole time frame to someone else or do you take initiative and therefore be labeled as inpatient? In my length of time down here I've learned sometimes if you don't take action you won't get anywhere

Then you are the problem. You're supposed to learn the traffic laws where you are not where you were.

That's an obligation and not a choice.

You're giving lessons about the wrong subject. This is about a blinking arrow. Well I guess we know who doesn't pay attention on the road cuz they don't pay attention here

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a RED light with a flashing yellow left turn light. That would be silly and VERY dangerous. I see GREEN lights with flashing yellows all the time. If there is no oncoming traffic, you can and should make the turn.

All that left blinking yellow arrow means, you can still turn left if their is no oncoming traffic.

You will encounter far worse from drivers in The Villages, especially at the roundabouts.

When the yellow left turn light is on, there absolutely can not be a green light for cross traffic. The light is there to help left turning traffic move along when there is sparse, or no, traffic coming from the opposite direction. You will be, in fact, a traffic hazard if drivers behind you get frustrated with your lack of consideration/knowledge, and try to go around you. Do us all a favor and don't be a traffic hazard.

When you're on Morse and turning left onto 44, the straight traffic light is red and left turn is blinking yellow just before it turns to green for straight thru traffic..

Patience ??? Never accept substandard performance......no matter where it occurs. Those who do, are contributing to the incremental downfall of the good ole U.S.A.

I also HATE to turn left "IN A MAJOR INTERSECTION" with a blinking yellow light. Once you pull out, there is no turning back and you have 3 lanes possibly coming at you all staggered. It is too hard and dangerous to try and time it. Rarely is there absolutely zero cars in a 3 lane intersection.

Now if you honk your horn at me, I will purposely make you miss the next green light because my engine will somehow stall. Learn from this.
