To each his own - one man's junk is another man' treasure. We all have different tastes and go try for yourself and you be the judge.

As many have said, some like what they got, some don't! I especially like Bonifay's hearts of palm salad. I ordered "swamp cabbage" as an appetizer and after some linguistic dancing, enjoyed it. They make a good salad with it too.

We had dinner last evening at Bonifay, and it was a good experience. The service was outstanding, we were seated right away (about 6:00PM) and the food was good. Our food was somewhat salty too (grilled grouper and traditional meatloaf), but not to the point of being "bad". The crab and corn soup was excellent. Love the decor. We'll be back.

be wary of food establishments that serve salty foods regularly. It is one method of keeping not so fresh foods from going into the trash (where it belongs!!!).

Why?

It is simply the opinion of the OP.

Bogie, on reading your post, I tried to change it to Bonifay food in the eye of the patron, but as Hal said in 2001 Space Odyseey, "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that."

I considered the possibility that the salt taste was from msg, but if so it was sprinkled on and could be scraped off.
