I knew the meaning Mrs. Belcher. I was paying attention in your class.

I didn't know the correct usage, probably because I didn't pay attention to Mrs. Traphagen in 10th grade English.

At one time, maybe about a year ago, I was getting mixed up and couldn't decide which word to use. So I went to the dictionary and made some notes. I can't explain why I suddenly had that problem, maybe I'll blame it on old age.

Default Especially ME.

Don't we all act like a bunch of old people with too much time on our hands sometimes?

The world will continue. And so will we. Sometimes there is a cloud or two in the sky. But we will do what we have always done; the best we can each day.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why someone would buy a retirement home in a community that is advertised as a "golf cart community", has over 90 miles of cart paths and think that it is strange that so many people prefer golf carts.

The golf cart accessibility is one of the main reasons that I live here. I really try to avoid taking my car unless absolutely necessary. I much prefer the open air and the fun of riding in my cart.Sometimes I just take the cart for a ride because I enjoy it.
Just because it's a "golf cart community" where golf carts are welcome doesn't exactly explain why everyone seems to be so in love with them. Obviously if you're a golfer it makes great sense. To me, it makes none.

But our likes & dislikes don't exactly fit with the majority of people here. We're also here for different reasons than most people who come to the TV area. So I guess in many ways I'm trying to learn about & understand the "culture" which for the most part I do not.

For me I have a golf car because it's so much easier to get around and park than it is a car. Plus an added bonus is the added gas mileage and it's more fun to drive than my car

To me, the carts versus cars perspectives are comparable to the opinions of those who like to ride motorcycles versus those who don't. Motorcycles are a different mode of transportation that some folks really enjoy - others think they're dangerous, not sensible, expensive, etc.

I say "to each their own". Nobody's right and nobody's wrong.......and nothing anybody says is probably going to sway someone 'to the other side'.

Couldn't find one of those smilies with tongue in cheek. Don't jump too soon. Sit back, relax, and chill. Too much stress.

All I can say is that it’s amazing how our members can take a simple straightforward discussion off into the most bizarre directions. It’s like trying to record a single discussion in the middle of a cocktail party.

This affects Stonecrest residents too, but we can add an automatic gate elsewhere that gets us into the parking lots on the other side of Aldi’s if we get permission like we did from Wal-Mart.
The path is now open. Actually the day they were installing it we talked to the guy. He recieved a phone call while about 6 carts were waiting. He said "Good news, We are taking it down. It's now open for all!

Another calamity averted. Another tempest in a teapot. All is good in lower Paradise until the next issue arises/
