That is good, as I'm planning my second visit this year to TV for October. Wonder when the announcement(s) will be made as to what restaurants will be at Brownwood?

The mayor of Wildwood is a friend of mine and a golfing buddy. Sunday afternoon, March 18th, I played golf with him and he was grining from ear to ear, while gushing about Brownwood.
He has a vested interest in accuracy, and he told me, a "September opening is expected." Take it for what its worth.

I am still wondering what impact the citizens of Wildwood will have upon Brownwood. As we know, the squares, entertainment, restaurants, movies, and bars are open to the public. Since Brownwood and Wildwood are so very close to each other, I wonder if Wildwood citizens will be very numerous at Brownwood and some of the undesireable aspects (drug dealing) might transfer to Brownwood if their young people go to Brownwood for entertainment, movies, and drinking.
Just wondering what might happen. |

When we first visited and traveled into Spanish Springs past the 9 oclock bed time for TV.
We walked around the town around 10pm and I oberved the gang bandanas and the speakers were mind numbing thumping out the Rap. My wife said were outta here! Thats what he is trying to say. That his makes some uncomfortable! And yes its a public square and they have the right to hang there. And I have the right to not hang there. Cause I'm not Bad A-- enought to defend myself agaist teenagers. Unless Figmo is with me! ![]() |

You should visit downtown Orlando some weekend night.
All the young "whipper snappers" partying and having a good time. Man I'm jealous. |

Since Brownwood is going to be much closer to Wildwood (which has a higher crime rate than Lady Lake or Fruitland Park), I was only wondering if some of their undesirable activities will spill over into Brownwood on a regular basis and basically turn into a Wildwood hangout. |

BTW Wildwood will be hiring two additional officers to be assigned to Brownwood. This was part of the reporting of Wildwood council meeting. |

It is very possible that the trailer park residents could come and save chairs for an entire group of trailer park residents for special events at Brownwood. They do not have to show an ID card as all are welcome at The Village events. Combined with the youths from Wildwood hanging around and the trailer park residents, will Brownwood be a place for The Villages or an all community gathering place that we will be funding with our amenity fees?

Also, the main seating in Brownwood will be permanent bleacher/stadium type seating. I daresay it will be more difficult, but certainly not impossible, to rope off and save seats. It's still TBD if there will also be daily removable plastic chairs. Still, it would be great if some proactive signage or design would help deter seat savers. I won't even get into the discussion about trailer parks and Wildwood. I have confidence that local security and police presence will ensure that crime and behavior are kept in check.
