Default busted gates

i think they are going for a record for the most busted gates. i know the gate repair people just got the new contract as of oct 1st. must be 15 gates down or more. how to stop it, charge who ever breaks it $1000 . at that rate we wont have to pay any amenities fee.

A better way is to use flexible gates that don't break, like they use at other communities.

Here is a link to one type of flexible gate arm.

I hope the new guys aren't getting paid based on the number of gates repaired. That could give a new meaning to the term "hit man."

Non-functioning gates aren't down only because they were "hit" but because their ancient mechanisms constanly fail. I have spoken to the guys repairing gates at Mallory & Stillwater a few times when we are out walking in the mornings and the times I did they had just mechanically failed and said that is a bigger problem than them getting hit. .

The new gates are small round tubes and very hard to see. Villagers watch for gates, but otherguests and those driving thru cant see them under certain conditions. In the daytime, the reflectors do not show.

The one ending in DelMar onto Avendia is very hard to see ads one example.

Spruce Creek lights on their gate. At least put a string of flags.

OR—ditch the gates altogether and install speed bumps!

Seems to me that a cheaper solution is to remove the gates and install 2 speed bumps in the vicinity of the gates.

The gates don’t break they are break away think high jump bar. You are charged to fix the gate was $200 don’t know what the current price is.

That is exactly what they are doing if you saw the post of people complaining their chips they had installed in their mirror will no longer work.

Default Busted gates - use speed bumps

If they used large speed bumps instead of gates that would solve the problem and be a lot cheaper!

Better way is to pay attention, slow down and as the sign states the gate closes after each car.
