Been here 18+ years and never saw them.... are sure you didn't dream that? If they were flexible won't they flop around when going up and down?

Spruce Creek lights on their gate. At least put a string of flags.
If you can not see the round, flat, or any other gate, you should not be driving because you're either going too fast or your eye sight is not good enough to operate a motor vehicle.

And just how many gates do they have? I'll bet there are more homes for sale than gates..... problem solved.

If you don’t have your swipe card, you shouldn’t get in without showing ID or just get rid of the gates. Personally, my parents own a home there and I felt safe knowing gates existed. I like the concept, but not if your just going to open them for anyone.
I think they keep the gates as a selling point for new buyers “Look we protect you”…if new, perspective buyers only knew the stupidity of how those gates are managed 🙄
They are for traffic control, not security...

I thought they were PVC pipe...

Excuse me, I have perfect eye sight and have never had a speeding ticket!

As I said before, some of the gates blend into the landscaping, traffic lights and tail lights!

Have to agree. Many, not all, don't stand out the way they should due to the reasons given above.
