Default Be aware of the package scam

Ok, new for me. Got email saying they missed my package delivery on Tuesday and need to click to schedule delivery date. Funny think I have no package’s coming and I was home all day Tuesday. The email address from sender was dead giveaway. I can see this scam working with all the packages ordered now. Just beware who sending these emails before you click response.

Have quite a few friends who want me to get the 10 million dollars that have been left for me in a will by a long lost relative.

Guess enough people fall for this that crooks use this.

10 million is chump change. I know a Nigerian Prince who is going to transfer 150 million into my bank account and only keep 1 million for himself. Should happen any day now that he has all my information.

😄. Sorry, I can't keep a straight face.

There have always been cons. The technology evolves. Horse and wagon was upgraded to the car and the train. Today it is the internet.

We make it easy and their cost is way down. It costs nothing to send out millions of e-mails. Depending on the volume the con artist may handle the back and forth themselves or set up a boiler room.

I do my best not to give true answers. SPOKEO had me listed as 150 years old with more money that Buffet and Gates combined. My aunt must have looked it up and corrected some of the information as she is now the only one listed who knows me. She is in assisted living. My birthday? She has it wrong.

All companies CLAIM they do not sell your information. Amusing project, change the spelling of your name, perhaps your middle initial and you will see who is selling your name.

Further scam awareness. This link Glitterbomb Trap Catches Phone Scammer (who gets arrested) - YouTube is to Mark Rober on YouTube who created the Glitter Bomb. He pairs up with Jim Browning and some other anti-scammers to save people tens of thousands of dollars. It is a long video but worth watching. You should pass this on to all you know who are potential victims. The scammers are very good at what they do.

Then you can enjoy the work that Jim Browning and Scammer Payback display on their YouTube videos.

Nobody spells my name correctly. Adding or subtracting letters at will. I would never know. Is it Fredrick, Frederick, Frederic, Fredric, Fredrik, etc.

UPS and DHL have email address so you can forward these scam emails. I have done this recently. Hopefully it will help shut down these scammers
