Just a heads up on possible mold being in your sink and bath faucets. Take a white cloth or tissue and wipe the faucet where the water comes out. If it has black on it then spray some bleach up in there and take a toothbrush and scrub it and let water run through it and then do the whole thing again. If you have the ability (on the bathroom sink faucets) take the aerator off and clean it and put it back on. Don’t brush your teeth with that toothbrush!

It's pretty common to have mold on fountain drink dispensers at restaurants. Have you ever had an off tasting coke? It's mold.

If buy new house every few years you’re faucets don’t have time to build up mold or calcium buildup. This falls under routine preventative maintenance. Some older houses would have more problems due to faucet dripping. The OP didn’t say how old the house was or if there was water leak.. |

It was supposed to be humorous and yes I do buy every 3 or 4 years but the 6th one here in villages is my first preowned and I’m still not going to do anything , I’ve always told people if there is a tool in my home it’s because someone left it

Where there is moisture and warmth there is mold and it doesn't take years to grow.

It is always faucets that get used regularly. They never have a chance to dry out. Just do the test I described and see if you have mold. I’m not selling anything just trying to educate .

It’s a harmless bacteria that grows on anything that stays wet like faucet tips, and toilet bowls. It won’t go into your drinking water. Clean your faucet tips with bleach every 6 months.

There other place you will find this is on the ice dispenser door, I spray Clorox a couple of times a year on this and then wipe down after letting it sit for 1/2 hour.

Harmless bacteria? Analyzed by whom? I don’t know about you but that’s where I brush my teeth. If you drink water from that faucet it is going to be in your drinking water
