Lakeside Landing has a GREAT pool....and rec center....but there are fees there as well.

Bottom line in my opinion is...no matter where you live...No Fees...No Fun....
In this morning's paper, Sunday February 15th, there is an ad for Parkwood in which it states, "Gated Family Neighborhood, $160,000's,AMENITIES: Clubhouse, Resort Style Pool & Aquatic Park, State Of The Art Fitness Center. 2,3,4, & 5 BEDROOM HOMES. WOW!!"

Thanks....yes I knew they have the plan of creating the amenities...I just meant that I did not think they were in place as of yet.

I also don't know if there is a monthly fee for the amenities and upkeep of the public areas, pool and club house etc.

thanks GG!

Default Parkwood Amenities fee

Hi all! I have been researching a move to Villages of Parkwood and inquired of the monthly homeowners fee listed on their website. I was told it is $50 per mth. Didn't sound too bad to me.

Yes Parkwood is suppose to start the fees at 50.00 monthly. They are suppose to have alot of things there like pools, rec center,,, wieght room and so on. The problem is, dont see 50.00 taking care of all that. they have 378 homes planned. Talking with the Owners of the place, very well could increase quite a bit. Just dont know about paying all that and being able to touch my neighbors house from my livingroom window. Kinda wierd how they set the houses up there.

I live in Bison Valley and checked all other places out first. I cant think of a place other than Bison Valley I would reather be in. A very nice area right next to everything possible. Got Cart access to all places, that is something Parkwood dont have unless your cart in road legal, and that might be coming to an end from what i hear. Kids in Parkwood driving golf carts down cr-101 on the sidewalk. SCSO said not happening. Parkwood is considered Wildwood and Bison Valley is Oxford. Wildwood Police patroll Parkwood and SCSO Bison Valley

I try not to mention it to much. Just a decade under the right age.... ha
Every now and then it slips out.. I have been working along with The Villages for about 12 years now, might as well live as close as possible.....

Well, welcome Gmoney. Like having some young folks here to give a different perspective. Sure, might as well live close by. Why don't you come to the TOTV lunch sometime? Next one is this Friday at Crispers. We'd love to meet you.

I know... W_O_R_K....I am told that is a very bad four letter word around here!! Although one that I want my child to know and respect!!

I am betting G and I are not the only "younger" generation(30's-40's) representatives here...actually there are a lot of the younger people on TOTV and in the immediate area....they are just a little quieter than some of us....hehehehe...imagine ME quiet!!

I think it is good to blend many generations....just my opinion again! Just one of the many reasons why I love this area!

Would Love to, but as Cassie puts it, WORK is a many splended thing.... Espically with The Villages picking up alittle the last couple of weeks. Putting in 60+ hour weeks makes it hard. I see alot of people out though as I ride my bike to work everyday and hit a 50 mile tour of The Villages every weekend.
I would not live any where else. Wife and Kids love it here. We have lived in Bison since Last Feb. Moved over from Leesburg.

I am sure me and you are not the only Younger ones posting here. I just try to keep on low low on posting.
The area along with the schools make this place a must for us and most families. Quite a few families in Bison that are from up north, and they love it here. Most have parents that live in The Villages and moved here to be close to them. And yes the Charter School is very nice.

And Just to note: The Charter Middle School Golden Girls went to State Competition this past weekend. They are now State Champs in The Kick and Hip Hop Dance routines.
They also earned the Judges Award with their Jazz Routine.
Represented The Villages area with Pride!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been following the Golden Girls, and to win dance competitions on a state level is no small feat! These young women are athletes in the finest shape. Since title nine took place and schools were required to get as many girls as boys into athletic programs, dance teams and drill teams have become more prolific and better and better. Cheer leading is a challenging sport as well. It requires hours of conditioning, years of dance, and gymnastics to be on one of these teams. I congratulate the coaches and the girls and I LOVE YOUR NAME!!

Good for you Golden Girls!!

Gracie,

I think they ought to outlaw that yellow font color. My eyes are fried after taking a quick look at your post!!! I'm leaving now to go put my sunglasses on.
