I’m sure it was tracked minutes after it was launched, and tracked over the ocean. Since we LET them do that wonder what’s next?

…some of the “experts” here…. Oh it’s fine that it’s there as China had satellites that gather this info. Really???

If so why did they launch this, reports are it’s the size of 3 buses. With solar panels and ability to navigate. And our gvt states China has launched these before. And apparently another going to Latin America.

China stated with a straight face that it’s a weather ballon. OMG.

What if it came from N Korea or Russia???? Do you think our leaders would not have taken immediate action??? But they handle China with kid gloves. Wonder why….

And our Military leaders at a news conference stating they are not taking action as it may impact population. But they state that they had monitored it since launch weeks ago and over AlaskA then western Canada then remote parts of our northwest. Makes ZERO sense. Then it slowly flies over OUR country.

Who knows what capabilities that thing has??? The experts here don’t know but the pacifism is dangerous. And what message does this send to other adversaries?

A feckless wimpy non action to protect our soverenity and safety.

I am furious about this whole matter.

Jr. suggested that someone in Montana shoot it down. That would take a heck of a firearm.

I agree. We no longer appear the strongest nation in the world. We are very vulnerable and I am concerned about our Leadership and the lack of attention to this, the border crisis, the increase in heinous crimes, and the unstable economy. I too pray for our grandchildren and beyond.

No, this isn't a mistake of the winds, it's China up to some nefarious activity. Correct me if I'm wrong, but no other country reported its' presence. How could that possibly be, considering the thousands of miles it needed to travel to get here?
There is another Chinese balloon over South America as well

Confucius says it only takes a little prick to take the air out of a balloon.

One thing's obvious. If we can't take out a "weather balloon" what chance do we have against long-range bombers or missiles?

It's waaay too high to be shot down with a 50 cal...

And no one reported it because it traveled over the pacific ocean to get to the west coast...

There is a difference between "can't" and "don't want to bother". I don't think there is any question that we could take it out.

Now THAT's funny!
