My cousin’s friend’s sister told me there is a song shortage caused by the pandemic.

Was it free entertainment? That's a serious question. Unfortunately maybe they were trying out a new producer and everyone needs to get their " act " together.

We were also there. I understand exactly what you are talking about. The belly dancers came out and they couldn’t get their music to work. I would think that would be checked before they are in the square waiting to perform. I guess not. Wasted a lot of time. I think it’s wonderful how these ladies perform and join these groups. However, they should allow more time for them and not cut into the performing bands time. Perhaps start earlier and let all the performers do their thing. By the way, the band was Stella Beat which is a Latin band. I happen to like Latin music so I really enjoyed them. They also play other music, not exclusive to Latin. I do agree, a lot of wasted time with nothing going on. Still was an nice night out for us.

We went to Lazymacs. Great party. Scooter the DJ played a mix of his line dance songs plus regular dance music; mariachi band also played; and Scooter did fun Cinco-themed audience participation games. We'll definitely go back any time they do repeats of this type of event.

Wish I was still there. We could have enjoyed people watching together until the music started.

Smile A different view.

There must have been two different events last night! The Cinco de Mayo Festival at Spanish Springs I went to was quite enjoyable. Everybody I met seemed to enjoy the dance groups and the music in general. The roaming clown and stilt performers added to the fun.

It was a festive evening. When the first act had sound problems they moved up El Grupo Folklorico with their colorful dresses and Spanish dancing. Stella Beat kept everyone toe tapping with their high energy. Everyone was there to have fun and you could see that well into the night.

We thought the 'Mexican' band was pretty bad. Ended up in Sumter Landing listening to truly good musicians: Steve Hogie Band!
