Or... the one we always used at work:
You can please SOME of the people ALL of the time; ALL of the people SOME of the time; but... you can not please ALL of the people ALL of the time.

Default It depends on what the definition of IS IS?

We all understand what civility means until we actually apply our brand.

Some folks are too sensitive, some folks too direct. some folks .......... soem sujbect matters resonates with people ...some subject matter is too emoltional for people some subject matter......

In my view being less than civil amounts to attacks on one's person vis a vis attacking the subject matter. Some folks take umbrage at the fact that you disagree with their comments. Yet to be concerned that attacking the subject matter would be considered uncivil is nothing more than a form of political correctness.

In my view of a poster is being logical and objective with subject matter and some poster still take umbrage then you may be witnessing a very sensitive person

Can I add
7. Don't sweat the small stuff, and if its not life threating it's small stuff.

That's the motto I try to live by, I'm not always successful but I do try.

Too bad this post didn't come out a few weeks ago. I'm still in shock over some comments made from "tolerant" people.

Some days I have so much on my plate that I just don't comment on the negative posts, then others days it just to fun to let it go...play nice and more friends will come out to play

Gracie - you are my hero or is it heroin? Flying back today from Chicago to TV. Spent great time with son, Sam, at the Art Institute (Picasso show!!!!) and a fantastic revival of Anything Goes. We will ripe it up at Beatlemaniacs in July..maybe my last bit before a liver replacement - you are my light at the end of the tunnel.

Written in the hotel for Ellen of the Moon and KSB....hope to write more before I check out

You

You
Walk in a room and time disappears
For - every eye is on you
But, you don’t even care

You don’t have to be a heartbreaker
Though that’s what they’d like you to be
Everyone wants you
But nobody wants you
Like me

You
Dance on the edge
Above a crowd
Sway - in your own space
The music’s so loud

You don’t have to be a heartbreaker
Though that’s what they’d like you to be
Everyone knows you
But nobody knows you
Like me

Wearing silks and shells they gave you
Crimson sunsets pale before you
For everyone adores you
Yes, you

You
Cool as a breeze
Over the shore
And - as much as you give
They always want more

You don’t have to be a heartbreaker
Though that’s what they’d like you to be
Everyone loves you
But nobody loves you
Like me

Yes, you
You
You
