Do not know how but for $200 a month we keep our Class C at Safety Harbor and it is under cover. No pollen or sun on the roof. In the summer your coach will bake

I agree with you. The idea behind keeping vehicles to a minimum are to make the area look nice and "quaint" as you drive down the street. I park my F350 diesel dually at a lot because of deeds and I know my neighbors don't want to have to see it or hear it even when I do bring it for a drop off or pick up.

One thing I didn't consider was that this Class B RV would be our only vehicle. It will have handicapped plates. Would I be able to park it in my drive way because of the plates?

Makes no difference, mine also was for handicapped but I got the notice anyway. Best thing you can do is search the village of your choice and read the deed restrictions and regulations, you don't have to be an owner to read them and then give them a call just to be sure.

It is not a big deal, storage is only $40 a month. If I am going to spend all that money on an RV, it not like $40 is going to break me. The place where I stored my last RV is only 10 minutes away, and most of the things in the villages are by golf cart. I can get there using my LSV. I don't plan on driving a lot in a car and instead use my LSV.

I think today $40.00/month will put you in a field in open sun, if you want covered storage on stone it will be much more expensive and even more if you want electric.

There is a new RV covered storage place opening on Rt 42…right off of 301. It’s north of the V. While you are up there, go across the street and enjoy the ribs at Artmans. The best around.

If I parked it in my driveway it would be in the sun. so no difference to me

I met someone in our village that rents a class B RV for 2-3 months a year. He said he pays around $5000-6000/year all-in doing so but is still WAY cheaper that buying one and then dealing with storage and maintenance.

Makes me wonder why I see so many RV's in storage all over the areas surrounding the Villages. Many look like they haven't moved in years so I can see his point.

We have owned several RVs and have worn them out. My class B will be our daily driver, and here in Florida, there are hundreds of weekend trips we can take while we still work. I plan of doing lots of beach fishing. Lots of crabing and shrimping. There are just great places to visit around Florida and other places. I think I will start a thread on where have other villagers gone to visit in Florida.

Yes you can cart to 42, and walk across 42, retrieve your RV. Stop at Artmans for ribs, making your neighbors very happy you choose not to camp in your driveway

It is more than a 30-minute drive by golf cart compared to 9 minutes to the storage near me.

I have looked into renting a Class B RV for a long trip for the past year. I was looking at a minimum of 6 weeks. My RV rental estimate at most rental sites came in at over $10,000. (Includes rental, insurance, tax, etc) The rental rate for 2-3 months would be $15-20,000. If that price you mentioned of $5-6,000 for 2-3 months is accurate could you please PM me with contact info for the RV rental agency. I hope to travel in the fall to Utah.

You asked if you could get there by cart, didn’t specify where you would drive from, or your time limit of the drive.
