I took the Trolley Tour last month when I was in TV just to see how different was the route as compared to when I took the Trolley Tour in 2010, and the person narrating the tour last month said that bowling is the #1 sport in The Villages which surprised me.

Based on this information, it's unfortunate that the developer could never find room to build another bowling alley. No additional bowling alleys were ever built after 2000 when the population was around 20,000.

Bowling may be number one based on the number of games played. Most bowlers I know bowl multiple games in one visit. A round of golf takes 4-5 hours.
