Apparently, "soon" will be no sooner than April of next year or maybe later. The Clermont store is still not listed on their future store list that currently lists other stores that will open as late as March 2023.

Default Excellent delivery service

We have also ordered a lot from Costco. Terrific delivery especially on large items ie our sectional sofa, washer & dryer (for two homes) lamps, etc.
Important to know us that Costco has a ‘concierge’ service for electronics and appliances. We had an issue with our new LG washer. I called Costco’s concierge number on a Friday afternoon. They took down all the info, contacted LG and scheduled the appointment for me for Monday morning! They were delightful to work with and incredibly quick in their response. We ordered that LG set during the supply chain crisis and Costco delivered it within a week, for $400 less than any other store that was out of stock.

Last time I checked, they haven't had a ground breaking ceremony yet, so soon is not that soon.

Costco doesn't have their own delivery system like Amazon does, but my experience with their third-party delivery company on my 65" OLED TV was basically the same as laryb's.

Why would you think that there may be a problem with deliveries from Costco? Did you think that Costco might be banned from TV? Back where you grew up, your neighborhood store has the right to ban anyone they wish from entering their store. I can only recall one incidence where a city banned a company from doing business there - New York City banned WalMart because WalMart would not discontinue the sale of guns at the location and refused to consider unionization. Eventually, the two sides agreed to discontinue gun sales and union labor to erect the store. WalMart, continued to refuse unionization of its employees. To this date, the WalMart location was never built.

About 6 or 8 years ago, there was a rumor that Costco and Macy's were going to anchor a mall at the location now occupied by the Brownwood Hotel and the Brownwood Medical center. Those enterprises probably entered into negotiations with the Developer and refused when heard terms. The Developer charges "rent" as a percentage of the store's volume - not sure if it is gross or net. Costco, like Sam's, BJ's, et al, operate on a very slim mark-up, usually 10%. Because of the small mark-up, they cannot afford to give up any percentage and is the reason they fight against unionization.

Yes, I get my computers on Costco.com . Good Prices and exended warranty. Also on my last new car (2021 GMC) I saved $1,000 being a Costco member. Car rental is good through Costco.

Default Leather recliner

I purchased a recliner and area rug. Recliner was brought in and assembled in no time. Very happy.

Costco is building in Clermont. Don't count on them coming to The Villages until summer traffic is like the height of season.
