Two of them are sold already!! Some are not available. The most expensive ones are on the lake. None of them that I saw are any bigger than a designer. I wonder if the second floor is unfinished attic space? They don't show the interiors.

We stayed in two and there is not second floor! In the one on the lake, there appeared to be a second floor, but there was not. Just for show.

The floor plans are there. They are unbelievably expensive IMHO.
The one on the corner closest to the lighthouse and on the water is going for over $1 million! For that money, you could be in one of the best Premier homes on the other side of the lake, with a view of the same lighthouse and be on a golf course! And the interior site homes are in the 1/2 million range. A nice designer on a golf course seems like a better idea. I'm not even that nuts about being so close to the town square or the bridge with the traffic on it. So for my money you can keep them. |

I'm with you. Its constant traffic on Morse Blvd. bridge, and you'll have the booming music from the Square every night. But I imagine if you like to spend a lot of time on the Square, either for dining, music or shopping, it will be appealing to you.

Before moving out in the country, I lived in "downtown" Coral Gables FL, for over 30 years and loved being able to walk to everything.
I looked at the pics but they don't show the interior rooms - I wish they would post more photos

Sure is....even have floor plans. Go to TheVillages.com and click on homes. The list now includes these cottages. There's a map, then you can click on the available homes.

I stayed in Fisherman’s Cove during my lifestyle visit. It is nicely appointed with all stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. There is a public sidewalk that runs along the back of the property. I admit during my stay there it wasn’t a problem, but if I were paying a million plus I’d sure as heck want a little more privacy in my backyard.

In our Lifestyle visit last July we stayed in the cottage called Was-Wa-Gun, which is fairly close to the square, but I don't ever remember ever hearing any noise from there (maybe due to the fact that I was probably at the sqaure each night). I think that that sales and information center between the cottages and the square would minimize the noise levels. The noise that disturbed us came from the road right behind the cottage - and the fact that the vie from the lanai is the busy road and the supermarket right across the street. I don't think they'll get $500K+ for many of the cottages with supermarket views. But the quality and style of the house were really top shelf.

I stayed in one of the cottages last year and loved it. I also loved being across from the Landing. I guess that's a matter of choice. I did feel that I should invite the neighbors for breakfast when we were all eating on the lanais. Really nice visit, though.

There is a certain charm about the Cottage neighborhood. Like a New England Beach town. It doesn't surprise me that two are already sold.

I would prefer a location in the cottages over a designer on a golf course, as far as I'm concerned this location has it all and they will sell quickly, now if I can just hit the lotto before they are all gone.....GN

I just checked out the website and saw that the cottage we stayed in on our lifestyle in 2007, Fishbone, is selling for $506,000.00 When we were there we thought it was a terrific place but would never buy it because the lanai backed onto the road. We also thought that when they finally started selling them they would be priced in the $250,000-$300.000 range. Mainly because of the road behind nthe lanai. Of course the location was wonderful but give me a CV any day. And when we sell here that's what we are planning on buying.

Yes the Cottages are very nice, but I agree they are not worth what they are asking. I like our designer just fine. Would'nt trade it.
