IMO it bad design especially in 2x4 wall. 4x6 wall can get 4” pipe which will work much better. The pipe not big enough to work efficiently, moisture for drying process causes lint to stick to sides and any low volume areas.

it’s oval shaped but still not enough volume to over come gravity. It will plug up sooner than any other design due to particles being lifted straight up and moisture in the air. Even if put boost fan in the system IMO it will also eventually get clogged same way the dryer boost fan gets clogged. Yes, it will help, but IMO now way getting around clean out depending on use.

I have my dryer vent cleaned every year. It's not expensive. Not only does it help with drying, it helps prevent dryer fires based on clogged vents.

If dryer is too close to wall the tubing may be kinked. If possible move it out a bit and retry.
We had an hourly ($50) man do this and a couple other jobs in that time.

Had same problem, the vent needed cleaning and it’s on the roof. Had Massey out to clean.

We had a Baja built in 1993 and the vent went straight out through the ceiling and then through the roof. I had ours cleaned after we bought it and the guy who did it said that there was a big "cookie" in there, a round bunch of lint that was compacted and thick. After he finished there were birds on the roof picking up the loose lint to add to their nests. If it's taking that long to dry sheets, you have built up lint in that flue, which is a fire hazard.
