Default Courtyard Villas and Snowbirds

Hello. I am coming down for the lifestyle preview plan in August. I read on another website that Courtyard Villas are popular with snowbirds. Is this correct? I am concerned that if I buy a courtyard villa that most of my neighbors may not be there is the summer. So I may be kind of alone in the summer. Is this typical in some villages?
Thank you - Marvinh

Wrong. I'm in a courtyard villa less than 30% of my neighbors are snowbirds.

We have been in our courtyard villa 6 years.....neighbors around me are year round. Others may leave but you will have that no matter if you have a villa or other model. Besides, you'll be so active you won't be home much! Villas are private so you won't necessarily "see" your neighbors anyway. Life is wonderful behind these villa walls. Enjoy your trip.

All series of homes are popular with snowbirds, don't let popularity make your decision on what type of home to buy, they all have there good and bad points but you have to decide for yourself which is best for you. For example there are designer veranda homes that are also private and fenced in but give you a little more room both inside and out. They are building a lot of new styles now that have not been available before, you'll have fun during your preview and will most likely not want to go home. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Wrong info! We live in a courtyard Villa and our neighborhood rocks all year long. We do look forward to the arrival of our seasonal friends but that does not stop us from being a vibrant neigh all year.

We lived in a Patio villa (Cabot Cove) as a Snowbird for 3 years before buying a Designer Series home. As I remember, most of my neighbors were full-time residents.
